Commemorating two defining milestones in Australia's history, the 2026 50c Unity: Wave Hill Walk Off 60th & Aboriginal Land Rights 50th Anniversary Uncirculated Coin honours the courage, resilience and leadership of the Gurindji people.
The year 2026 marks 60 years since the Wave Hill Walk-Off and 50 years since the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976. What began in 1966 as a stand against poor wages and working conditions grew into a powerful movement for justice, recognition and land rights. Led by Vincent Lingiari, the Gurindji people's determination helped reshape Australia's understanding of equality and inspired lasting legislative change.
Created in collaboration with the Gurindji people, the coin's reverse tells this remarkable story through a richly symbolic design. It features a stylised depiction of the Wave Hill Walk-Off, an artistic representation of the iconic "hand over" between Prime Minister Gough Whitlam and Vincent Lingiari, and microtext incorporating quotes from Lingiari. Hidden within the overlapping shadows is the word UNITY, representing the collective strength and determination that drove the movement.

Shipping
We will endeavour to dispatch orders as soon as possible, please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery within Australia and 4-6 weeks overseas.
We requires full payment with order, plus all shipping/postage charges before we dispatch any goods.
All shipping/postage (including insurance) costs are subject to change without notice.
*Shipping charges for Australia is a flat fee of $9.95, except EQL launches, heavy items such as coin rolls, books, accessories and large quantities of coins and banknotes which will be charged at current Australia Post charges. We will advise you of these costs before shipping.
EQL Launches/New Releases. The regular Flat fee ($9.95) does not apply to EQL Launches. Shipping charges for EQL new releases will differ and this rate will be advised at the time of entry.
Free Shipping: On orders $350.00 and over made in one transaction for delivery within Australia only.
Free Express Upgrade: Domestic Australian orders over the value of $1000 will automatically upgrade to Express Post at no additional expense.
Overseas shipping charges as follows; orders up to 1kg;

Returns/Refund/Cancellations
Any missing item, return or refund request must be put by email to sales@wynyardcoins.com.au within no more than seven (7) days of receipt.
Damaged Faulty. Wynyard Coin Centre will attempt to exchange (if available) or provide a refund for any items delivered damaged, faulty or unsatisfactory when returned in original, undamaged condition with all product components as supplied within seven (7) days of receipt.
Change of Mind. Cancelled items/orders for customer change of mind will be refunded less postage charges, merchant fees (PayPal 2.6%, VISA/Mastercard, Shop Pay, Apple Pay & Google Pay 1.6% + $0.30 or current equivalent rates) associated with accepting the original payment, and a 20% restocking fee to cover reasonable administrative and handling costs.
Prior to Dispatch: Requests to cancel an order must be made within seven (7) days of purchase.
After Dispatch / Delivery: Change of mind return requests must be made within seven (7) days of receipt. Approved returns must be received by us within fourteen (14) days of approval.
Items must be returned in original condition with all packaging and components as supplied.
