1970 HT Monaro GTS 350
Purpose-built to conquer American-sourced Mustangs and Camaros that had dominated the Australian Touring Car Championship in the late 1960s Norm Beechey's mighty HT GTS 350 Monaro was a banner head car in Holden's history. This Monaro was all Australian; its locally developed V8 engine propelling the distinctive red and yellow coupe to the 1970 championship becoming the first Holden and indeed the first locally produced car to win the title.
