2013 Year of the Snake Gilded 1oz Silver
The one dollar coin's reverse depicts a snake curled around a tree branch, gilded in 24-carat gold. Gold is said to symbolise wealth and happiness. The Chinese character for 'snake' also appear in the design with Perth Mint's traditional 'P' mintmark.
The Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2013 year-date and monetary denomination are shown on the coins obverse.
