This coin commemmorates modern Australia's multi-cultural heritage and celebrates the the 60th anniversary of Australian citizenship. A small raised 'C' mintmark on the reverse indicates that the coin was struck by the Royal Australian Mint in Canberra.
Wociek Pietranik's reverse design captures the unity and diversity of modern Australia and symbolises a celebration of citizenship commitment and pride in being Australian. The seven figures represent the seven men from seven different countries who became Australian citizens 60 years ago in Canberra in 1949.
The coin is housed encapsulated in a hinged-lid presentation case protected by a colourful cardboard shipper and accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity.
