On 1 July 1915 the Commonwealth of Australia officially accepted responsibility from the state government for all landfall and coastal lights around Australia. Today the Australian Maritime Safety Authority is responsible for
maintaining aids to navigation at some 388 sites around 37 600 kilometres of Australian coastline.
Commemorating the Centenary The Perth Mint has issued a P.N.C consisting of an al/bronze uncirculated one dollar features the inscription "Centenary of the Australian Lighthouse Service" and also includes 4 x 70¢ postage stamps.

Shipping charges for Australia is a flat fee of $8.50, except heavy items such as coin rolls, books, accessories and large quantities of coins and banknotes which will be charged at current Australia Post charges. We will advise you of these costs before shipping.
