$5 2019 - 1812 A New Map of the World Silver Proof Domed Coin
Following on from the Celestial Domed series – Southern and Northern Skies the Royal Australian Mint has released a 2019 $5 Fine Silver Proof Domed coin which features depictions of the Eastern Hemisphere based on historic and rare maps of the 18th century.
The richly-decorated map by Captain Cook expresses the delicate artistry of the cartography and his work during the age of discovery.
