This coin was released to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the final issue of Commonwealth Pre-Decimal Pennies in 1964. The reverse design shows four coin images surrounding a 1964 penny. They are the 1911 penny the first date of Australian Pennies and portraits of George V George VI and Elizabeth II.
The coin is encapsulated housed in a brown presentation case accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity and a booklet outlining the history of Australian penny issues. A cardboard outer case with an embossed rendition of the coin's reverse design protects the issue.
