1997 Charles Kingsford Smith Centenary Portfolio $1 Silver & $20 Banknote
In recognition of a great Australian the Royal Australian Mint and Note Printing Australia jointly issued a portfolio featuring a Large Head Type 1997 .999 Silver Proof dollar and a special Overprinted $20 paper note with the final 'ADK' Serial Prefix each depicting Sir Charles Kingsford Smith Australia's legendary aviation pioneer.
Due to the limited availability of the discontinued $20 paper notes only 4 000 portfolios were offered for sale. The portfolios were distributed in May/June 1997 by randomly selecting from applications received from Mint list customers. The issue was vastly oversubscribed with some 40 000 applications being received by the Royal Mint and Note Printing Australia.
Both the coin and note are unique to the portfolio - the $20 note carrying the words 'Sir Charles Kingsford Smith' as an overprint and the .999 Proof Silver Dollar carrying the Large Head type reverse design.

We will endeavour to dispatch orders as soon as possible, please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery within Australia and 4-6 weeks overseas.
We requires full payment with order, plus all shipping/postage charges before we dispatch any goods.
All shipping/postage (including insurance) costs are subject to change without notice.
*Shipping charges for Australia is a flat fee of $9.95, except EQL launches, heavy items such as coin rolls, books, accessories and large quantities of coins and banknotes which will be charged at current Australia Post charges. We will advise you of these costs before shipping.
EQL Launches/New Releases. The regular Flat fee ($9.95) does not apply to EQL Launches. Shipping charges for EQL new releases will differ and this rate will be advised at the time of entry.
Free Shipping: On orders $350.00 and over made in one transaction for delivery within Australia only.
Free Express Upgrade: Domestic Australian orders over the value of $1000 will automatically upgrade to Express Post at no additional expense.
Overseas shipping charges as follows; orders up to 1kg;

Returns/Refund/Cancellations
Wynyard Coin Centre will attempt to exchange (if available) or provide a refund for any items delivered damaged or unsatisfactory when returned in original, undamaged condition with all product components as supplied within 14 days of receipt.
Cancelled items/orders for customer change of mind or return without major problem (in original condition) will be refunded less postage charges and any merchant fees (PayPal 2.6%, VISA/Mastercard, Shop Pay, Apple Pay & Google Pay 1.6% + $0.30) associated with accepting the original payment within 28 days of purchase.
