The design of the Royal Australian Mint’s 60th anniversary coin pays tribute to the intricate process of coin production. Inspired by the inner workings of a coin press, it showcases the technical mastery behind crafting Australia’s coins. A feature of the design is a coin ‘sheet,’ representing the material from which coin blanks are cut. Within this sheet, eight distinct elements are seamlessly integrated, each highlighting a vital aspect of the Mint’s operations.
The elements feature the RAM robot, Titan, who plays a crucial role in moving and processing coins. The Mint building is depicted from two perspectives — an aerial view capturing its substantial footprint and a side view showcasing its architectural presence.
A collector holding coins symbolises the passion of numismatists, while gold bars represent the investment products produced at the Mint. Coin dies highlight their role in striking designs onto blanks, while the blanks themselves acknowledge the foundation of coin production. Each of these elements are intricately placed within the sheet.
Designed by the Mint’s Adam Ball, this coin honours the Mint’s six-decade legacy. Adam says, “The hidden narrative pays tribute to the craftsmanship and precision behind every coin produced.”
Another key design element is the number “60,” where the zero is framed with an additional circle and a connecting line to the coin’s rim — symbolising the moment of a coin’s creation. The six represents the motion of a newly minted coin, while the zero represents the die beneath it, emphasising the Mint’s meticulous attention to detail.
This design honours the Mint’s historical role in shaping Australia’s numismatic heritage. It acknowledges both the Mint’s production processes and the skilled artisans who bring each coin to life, while also recognising the collectors and enthusiasts whose passion has been integral to the Mint’s success. Marking six decades of history, this coin celebrates the Mint’s lasting impact on Australia’s economic and cultural landscape.

We will endeavour to dispatch orders as soon as possible, please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery within Australia and 4-6 weeks overseas.
We requires full payment with order, plus all shipping/postage charges before we dispatch any goods.

*Shipping charges for Australia is a flat fee of $9.95, except EQL launches, heavy items such as coin rolls, books, accessories and large quantities of coins and banknotes which will be charged at current Australia Post charges. We will advise you of these costs before shipping.
EQL Launches/New Releases. The regular Flat fee ($9.95) does not apply to EQL Launches. Shipping charges for EQL new releases will differ and this rate will be advised at the time of entry.
Free Shipping: On orders $350.00 and over made in one transaction for delivery within Australia only.
Free Express Upgrade: Domestic Australian orders over the value of $1000 will automatically upgrade to Express Post at no additional expense.

Returns/Refund/Cancellations
Wynyard Coin Centre will attempt to exchange (if available) or provide a refund for any items delivered damaged or unsatisfactory when returned in original, undamaged condition with all product components as supplied within 14 days of receipt.
Cancelled items/orders for customer change of mind or return without major problem (in original condition) will be refunded less postage charges and any merchant fees (PayPal 2.6%, VISA/Mastercard, Shop Pay, Apple Pay & Google Pay 1.6% + $0.30) associated with accepting the original payment within 28 days of purchase.
