In 1910 one of the most significant numimatic events in Australian history occurred with the introduction of coinage issued in the name of the Commonwealth of Australia.
Issued for the Brisbane ANDA Coin Show with a tiny mintage of 1228 this coin celebrates the 100th anniversary of that event. A small kangaroo over 'B' privymark appears on the reverse.
Vladimir Gottwald's reverse design features for the first time conjoined images of the four monarchs that have appeared on Australia's coinage from 1910 to 2010 - King Edward VII King George V King George VI and Queen Elizabeth II
The coin is housed encapsulated in a hinged-lid presentation case protected by a colourful cardboard shipper and accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity.
