20c 2015 200th Anniversary of Sir Henry Parkes Carded UNC
In the 200 years since Sir Henry Parkes’ birth much has been said about the man whose tireless efforts gave us the nation of Australia as we know it today. Described as ‘a colonial colossus’ and ‘the most commanding figure in Australian politics ’ he has been best known to generations of Australians as the Father of Federation.
Henry Parkes had already served more than fifty years in public life when he embarked on the most ambitious political cause of his career. In 1889 Parkes dedicated himself to uniting the sperate colonies of Australia under one federal government. By 1890 Parkes' political skill had succeeded in winning a federation Conference in Melbourne (attended by all Australian and New Zealand colonies).
The conference agreed a Federal Convention should meet in Sydney the following year to draw up a constitution for a federated Australia. In less than one year Parkes had set the wheels in motion. Throughout the meetings of the convention Parkes was the figurehead and maker of inspirational speeches.
To commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Sir Henry Parkes the Royal Australian Mint has struck a cupro-nickel uncirculated 20 cent featuring a portrait of Parkes on the reverse.

*Shipping charges for Australia is a flat fee of $9.95, except EQL launches, heavy items such as coin rolls, books, accessories and large quantities of coins and banknotes which will be charged at current Australia Post charges. We will advise you of these costs before shipping.
EQL Launches/New Releases. The regular Flat fee ($9.95) does not apply to EQL Launches. Shipping charges for EQL new releases will differ and this rate will be advised at the time of entry.
Free Shipping: On orders $350.00 and over made in one transaction for delivery within Australia only.
Free Express Upgrade: Domestic Australian orders over the value of $1000 will automatically upgrade to Express Post at no additional expense.

Returns/Refund/Cancellations
Wynyard Coin Centre will attempt to exchange (if available) or provide a refund for any items delivered damaged or unsatisfactory when returned in original, undamaged condition with all product components as supplied within 14 days of receipt.
Cancelled items/orders for customer change of mind or return without major problem (in original condition) will be refunded less postage charges and any merchant fees (PayPal 2.6%, VISA/Mastercard, Shop Pay, Apple Pay & Google Pay 1.6% + $0.30) associated with accepting the original payment within 28 days of purchase.
