The inscription recalls commentator Norman 'Nugget' May's legendary call of the men's Olympic 4 x 100m swimming medley relay at the Moscow 1980 Olympic Games. Tension and excitement poured from May when Australia snatched victory from the Soviet Union in what is considered to be one of the most memorable pieces of Olympic Games broadcasting in Australia's history.
